GayCo Productions is a not-for-profit theatre ensemble
that specializes in creating sketch-comedy revues based on gay/lesbian
themes. Since starting as a lesbigay focused workshop at the Second City
Training Center in 1996, we've performed for massive, enthusiastic, sexy
gay audiences in Chicago and across the country.
Act Locally
Success might go to our hair, but it doesn't go to our head - you can
often catch GayCo performing at Chicago functions, fundraisers, and high-visibility
events. We maintain a commitment to our beloved Chicago audience - mostly
because they're packed with potential dates, and crabby ex-girlfriends.
Think Globally
These small-town kids know how to get out of town. We've performed across
the country, and even at the 1996 Gay Games in Amsterdam. And, starting
in 2003, GayCo has been showcasing regularly in Los Angeles and entertaining
entertainment mega-deals. It's all very hush-hush.
The GayMission:
Our mission is to create intelligent and thought-provoking sketch comedy
based on gay and lesbian themes that will either entertain, educate, and/or
enlighten our audience.
